Mark your calendar to attend this year’s ARPAS Symposium at the 2014 ADSA-ASAS-CSAS Joint Annual Meeting (JAM) which will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Kansas City Convention Center. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. Details on the meeting room will be available when the JAM program is published. 

Our topic this year is Customer/Consumer confidence in the livestock industry - Ethics. We have an outstanding group of speakers who will provide insight and perspectives on how perceptions within the livestock industry are shifting and what should be done to keep ethics within the industry at the high standards we have grown to expect over the last century. Topics and speakers will include:

1. Feed Industry Perspective. Lawrence Dwain Bunting, ADM Alliance Nutrition, Lubbock, TX; 

2. University Perspective. Michael L. Galyean, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX;

3. Veterinary Perspective. Chris Ashworth, Elanco, Indanapolis, IN;

4. FDA Guidelines on feed, feed additives and drug claims. Dr. Michaela Alewynse, FDA/CVM, Washington DC.

We are expecting considerable interest in these discussions across all levels within the livestock industry.
