The ARPAS Foundation’s assets now total $62,477.75. As you may remember, the ARPAS Foundation was established about three years ago to recognize and fund worthy educational efforts of ARPAS and its members, or to promote the activities of ARPAS. We are off to a great start and soon will be deciding upon the educational activities to fund.

The general Principles and Guidelines for operation of the ARPAS Foundation include:

1. Funds accumulated by the ARPAS Foundation are to be invested at the discretion of the ARPAS Executive Committee.
2. Only the earnings of the funds may be used to support the educational efforts of the Foundation. The principal will not be used except under extreme circumstances as determined by the ARPAS Executive Committee. 
3. The ARPAS Executive Committee will make the final decision regarding the educational efforts or other activities to be funded by the Foundation.

The ARPAS Foundation Committee and the Executive Committee are responsible for leading the efforts to raise funds to support the efforts of the Foundation. You can help by making an annual donation to the ARPAS Foundation. An opportunity to do this will be presented at the time you pay your ARPAS dues or you may make a donation at any time during the year. Remember that ARPAS is a 501(c) non-profit organization, so your donations are tax deductible under current tax law. We would also welcome your help on the Foundation Committee.
