In continuous publication since 1985, Applied Animal Science (AAS) publishes peer-reviewed scientific discoveries and applications for the animal sciences and animal production systems.

The primary focus is on innovations and technologies that have fairly immediate—or emerging—application in domestic animal agriculture.

Liver Abscess Special Issue

Applied Animal Science has released a special issue dedicated to liver abscesses in cattle. A growing concern in recent years, the disease has significant effects on the efficiency and sustainability of cattle production and has proved difficult to study, prevent, and mitigate.
